My one year anniversary.

My journey to Key West started with a innocent stare. I saw the most handsome man I had ever seen. And I knew he was gonna be mine one day. He on the other hand had no clue about it at that time :D.

To a phonenumber and address on a piece of paper. To a letter in the mailbox. To hundred of hours on Skype. Without any more consideration my plane ticket was booked in a heartbeat. For me there was no other way. Many probably thought I was crazy but for me the crazy thing would have been to leave this undone! Waking up in ten years from now wondering, what if? That was not an option for me! Both him and I deserved to give this a try. If you don´t try you will never know!

This is where it all started.

Now one year later I can not be more proud and happy for my choices and sacrifices I made. I love Daniel and am forever thankful for everything he has ever done for me. Without meeting him I would not have came to this island we call paradise and I now can call home. 

This year has still not every day been easy. There have been ups and downs, sorrow and losses. To be far away from your family and friends you love so much is the hardest thing. To miss someone so much that it hurts is literally true. Then again, it is only you who can decide for yourself. 

In the end I don´t regret a day! Of course there always will be things you wish you would have done differently but in the end we are just people who make mistakes from what we grow and learn.

This group of people I said goodbye to one year ago. I can really say I am a lucky girl! <3

I have met so many awesome people during this time here. I don´t even know where to start. I have the best people around me I can call friends. Without them I don´t know what I would do. I can work at a job I love and I really live in a place only most of the people can dream about. 

To live in paradise also means a lot of visits from back home :). I am so glad I could have my family here for two weeks. I was so proud of my mother for actually coming. This was her and my brother´s first time traveling to America. I just loved to have them here <3.

I also had a visit from my childhood friend and her husband.

One year down, another to come :). This is a journey of a life time. Now I´m just waiting for more visits from back home ;). So let me know guys when you´re starting to book your vacations.
